IC INFORMATION
PREINCARNATION
Name: Kohaku
Canon: Wish, Legal Drug/Drug and Drop, Kobato (All take place in the same universe)
Age: At least over one hundred years, physically appears as a teenager or young adult.
Species: Angel
Appearance: As an apprentice angel, Kohaku has an adult form during the day, and a chibi form at night.

History:
Kohaku is supposedly God's favourite angel, and is in charge of singing so that the angel eggs from the Tree of Life can hatch. Kohaku is the only known angel that can do this, as they are said to have the most pure heart in Heaven. Hisui even acknowledges that Kohaku is a very strong angel with rare powers, even if they are particularly clumsy.

Kohaku comes to Earth to find Hisui, an Archangel that has gone missing after the meeting on the Bridge Between Heaven and Earth, which is a neutral ground for both worlds to make negotiations. Since Angels cannot enter Hell without turning to ash, much as Demons cannot enter Heaven, Kohaku knows they must be on Earth, and gets special permission from God to search for Hisui, who Kohaku is worried something has happened to. Kohaku looks up to Hisui , calling them kind and cheerful, and full of wisdom. Hisui has been gone for three months, and faces expulsion from Heaven if they do not return.

Kohaku first meets the human Shuuichiro one evening, when Kohaku is reduced to their chibi form; a form that both angels and demons take depending on the time of day if they are not yet fully able to control their powers. Kohaku is being attacked by a crow, a servant of a demon, and Shuuichiro saves the crying angel from the creature. Eternally grateful, Kohaku wishes to fulfill a wish to the man, but the man insists he has none. Kohaku refuses to believe this and insists on staying until he makes a wish.

It takes a little convincing, but Shuuichiro does come to at least accept that Kohaku is an angel, and seems to roll with it rather well. While Kohaku is on their mission, and waiting for Shuuichiro to make a wish, they go out of their way to make themselves useful to Shuuichiro, who was so kind to let them stay at his house for the time being. Kohaku does tasks such as water the lawn, tries to learn about the world, buys cigarettes for Shuuichiro, and even tries to deliver forgotten things to them, even though they sometimes fail. They, however, have a difficult time completing certain tasks, such as grocery shopping and cooking, as it involves killing things and angels are only allowed to consume milk or honey; they usually gain their sustenance from sunbathing. Kohaku does, however, attempt to get better at cooking to make Shuuichiro happy later on.

In their stay with Shuuichiro, Kohaku does daily tasks in the human world, such as watering his lawn, and learning about the daily lives of humans in the hopes of gaining insight. However, Kohaku is quite clueless about what life on earth is like and can unintentionally ask uncomfortable questions, such as what people in porn are doing to other shoppers. Walking into a market can be disastrous for them, as seeing dead animals will cause them to faint. Kohaku also tries to bring a forgotten lunch to Shuuichiro, but ends up crashing and accidentally destroying its contents.

However, Kohaku has some particularly strong abilities of their own. It's considered incredible that Kohaku can use a spell to pass through time, and can even have dreams that revolve around secrets, such as dreaming of Hisui and a "wish that one cannot grant by themselves."

A demon, Koryuu, regularly goes out of his way to interfere with and upset Kohaku's tasks. By burning their wings, sending crows and servants after Kohaku, and even leaving them in the past, he relentlessly continues to tease the angel. However, Koryuu also gets picked on for having a crush on Kohaku, and even gets furious when they find out how God punished "his favourite angel."

When Hisui comes out of hiding, it is alongside the son of Satan, Kokuyo. Understandably, Kohaku is on edge, until they learn the truth - that Hisui is no longer an angel and that they will be banned from Heaven because Hisui and Kokuyo had sex, and that Hisui has no desire to return to Heaven, despite God's will. Because Hisui has discarded their angel status, this enables them to deal with things forbidden to other angels, such as cooking meat, and consuming things outside of milk and honey. A skill that Kohaku asks to learn after they, too, wish to remain on Earth with Shuuichiro.

Kohaku gets to meet Shuuichiro's grandfather, and learns the tragic story of his parents. Upon hearing that his mother just disappeared, Kohaku goes to the past, with the help of Koryuu, to try and see if they can do anything to help. There, they meet a Wisteria fairy who can see the supernatural and read the future. Upon learning how her husband would pass away, she couldn't bear to stay by his side and smile anymore, so she returned to her tree. When Koryuu abandons Kohaku in this timeframe, the Wisteria tree wonders why Kohaku is crying. When she finds it's because they can't see Shuuichiro until they return to the present, the Wisteria tree sacrifices herself to send Kohaku back to her time. Kohaku blames herself, and feels inadequate for Shuuichiro's affections, as Shuuichiro loved his mother so much. This is when Kohaku slowly starts to realize their feelings for the man, if only a little.

Shuuichiro grows as a very kind and generous individual, even if he is very stoic. Little by little, he smiles as Kohaku becomes happier. He also protects Kohaku from being picked on when he can, offers anything he can to help, and consoles them often. Shuuichiro often doesn't ask what happened, only asking if everything is okay and is just satisfied to soothe Kohaku's pain. He even invited all of the angels and demons into his house, just because he believed it would make Kohaku happy.

God makes the demand for Kohaku to return home. Kohaku is heartbroken as they return to Heaven, and Shuuichiro notices it for the first time how he feels miserable without Kohaku being around. Kohaku uses a mirror spell from Heaven, and when their pain becomes to great, Kohaku returns to Earth to see Shuuichiro again. They confess their love for him, though they are afraid that they lack the worth to have their affections returned. God casts his punishment on Kohaku for breaking the rules. While Hisui is only banned from Heaven, Kohaku is cursed to remain in their chibi form and stripped of their summoning abilities for 100 years. Still, even after all of this, Shuuichiro takes Kohaku to the remains of the Wisteria tree, and tells them his wish - to be with Kohaku forever because he loves them, too.

However, it isn't meant to last. Not in this life, at least. Soon after their promise, Shuuichiro dies from an unknown disease. Shuuichiro was damned to an early death, and that is why God kept trying to pull Kohaku away. However, since Kohaku kept returning, he stripped them of their power to allow them to be able to sleep for 100 years while they wait for Shuuichiro's reincarnation to return. On that day, Kohaku's curse would be lifted. To ensure all the conditions are met, Shuuichiro's house becomes entitled to Kohaku, Kokuyo, and Hisui.

During their slumber, they are interrupted, meeting Kazahiya while he is on an errand. The similarities between his and Shuuichiro's last name is what is believed caused them to wake up. Though, Kohaku quickly realizes they aren't supposed to be awake yet. Even still, Kohaku offers their services to a stressed Kazahiya, wishing to help him in any way possible. They even give him insight on his feelings of love for another. Through a handshake, Kazahiya sees Kohaku's memories and feels sad for them. They befriend each other and make the promise to see each other again, after it is truly time for Kohaku to wake up.

When the reincarnated Shuuichiro shows up, Kohaku eagerly says they want to grant his wish. But also says they have a wish of their own - to this time truly be able to stay by Shuuichiro's side forever. Naturally, Shuuichiro doesn't retain his former life's memories. Kohaku tells him about the times that passed, and then that they chose to stay by his side after he was reborn not just because of the wish, but because they love this Shuuichiro, too. This is when Shuuichiro smiles and reinstates his wish to be with Kohaku forever. Shuuichiro gets a gift for Kohaku, setting it up so that they can attend the college that he will go to and get their own education in the process.

After awakening, Kohaku still doesn't have full control over their abilities and still become chibi at night. However, in Kobato, it is stated that she has had and lost Shuuichiro over several lifetimes, waiting again and again for his reincarnation, and thus Kohaku has had enough time to hone her skills and keep her adult form permanently. Kohaku also says that they and Shuuichiro always gravitate back to each other each of his lives. And, when Kohaku learns that Kobato's wish has become the same, to spend her life with the one she holds dear, Kohaku wishes for everyone's happiness. This wish gets granted by a friend and the memories Kobato and Fujimoto have of each other are restored as they are reunited.

REINCARNATION
Name: Runar Agnarsson
Age: 19
Appearance: Unlike being genderless in their former life, they will be born physically male this life. Also, blue eyes instead of gold.

History:
Runar was born to Maria, a tourist coordinator, and Asgeir Agnarsson, a pharmacist, in Husavik, Iceland. Maria, however, died only two years later, drowning in the ocean on a boating excursion. While Asgeir would occasionally hire a child caretaker, Runar was primarily raised by his father, and doesn't remember much, if anything, of his mother. Though he happily listens to stories of her. Such stories include of her singing once upon a time.

Along with stories of his mother, Asgeir often talked about dreams of traveling that never got fulfilled with her. Runar grew up admiring maps, photographed sceneries, and brochures from travel agencies. Asgeir often talked about someday traveling with Runar, too, when Runar was old enough.

Runar, looking more like his mother, tended to wear more effeminate clothing as he grew up, as his father would smile and say how much he reminded him of her. He was not above playing dressup and playing with more "stereo-typically girl" toys. Though getting made fun of for it would make him cry. Regular teasing throughout his school years pressured him into pretending to be whatever someone else wanted him to be.

Runar did well throughout school, often scoring in the high eights. He took more to art classes in school, but is well read and studied. He didn't like disappointing anyone, be it his father or teachers, and so did his best to excel in his studies, and often greeting others in the most friendly way possible. This would make him a bit of a pushover, and often accepting tasks without very much questioning. This has led to pushing himself too hard from time to time as well, and stretching himself thin, though he'd certainly never complain. He finished compulsory school, and is working out the details on furthering his education.

Because of the stories of his mother singing back in the day, Runar often practices singing on his own, listening to styles of music his father loves and reflects on. Although he started out practicing in his own room, he has grown to practice almost anywhere, as long as he doesn't suspect anyone is listening in.

Runar also found a love for gardening at an early age that carries to the present, where he maintains a garden that flourishes around their house. It is not uncommon for Runar to give flowers as gifts, carefully wrapped in a ribbon that reminds him of the receiver. His father paid for a variety of seeds, gardening books, and floral arrangement classes for Runar. He even learned how to arrange flowers into garments through creative classes, and adores doing so often, even with fake flowers. Runar keeps a sketchbook of floral arrangements and design ideas to use in clothing someday, often carried in a messenger bag.

Runar additionally enjoys looking at wedding magazines and advertisements, even occasionally stopping in bridal shops if he has the time. He simply loves the beauty that comes with love and the decor surrounding it. His sketchbooks are often filled with many designs for wedding arrangments and ideas. Ideally, Runar would love to be a wedding planner and doing the arrangements himself someday. But for now, he stays happy in his work at the flower shop.

Runar and Asgeir moved to Mossgate fairly recently, to start fulfilling that dream of travel. While his father realises that Runar's dream may not always be to travel to all of the beautiful places, he enjoys sharing it with his son in the now. Both father and son continue to take care of each other and be all manner of supportive for one another.

First Echo: During the Aurora Event, they got back the memory of (read right to left) (1), (2), and (3), ending with Kohaku saying "otherwise", along with his number. Runar, however, just believes it must have been a really weird daydream.

PERSONALITY
Pre-Incarnation Personality:
Kohaku is a particularly cheerful and naive angel. They approach everything with an open mind, and always do their best, even if they tend to fail sometimes. They have an ever-growing curiousity of the world and constantly strive to learn more about it, which honestly has it's downsides for the poor angel from time to time. They inquire about the world as pure and innocent as a child would. Honest to a fault, they say everything exactly as it is, and will go out of their way to prove it if need be. Such as when they declare themselves an angel to Shuuichiro, they explain their existence and their insistence on granting his wish.

They have an adoring love for beautiful things, and they seem to adore nature quite a bit. They instantly fall in love with Shuuichiro's garden, and ask if they can stay in it. They go out of their way to take care of it each morning, and socialize with the plants and surrounding wildlife (usually birds). In Kobato, this is heightened to them crying at the beauties of nature, as it is so beautiful and reminds them of Shuuichiro, and thus they want to share it with Shuuichiro. They love seeing wonderful things all of the time, even if it's something as minour to others as just the movements of life.

Kohaku is eager to help, please, and repay any of their debts, no matter how small. They eagerly try to do any of the smallest tasks that they think might benefit another, especially when it comes to Shuuichiro. They deliver forgotten items, do chores to help out in any way possible, do grocery shopping, and even push their own comfort zone to try and do something nice for another. Being friendly and warm is their free gift to everyone, and unless given a drastic reason not to, they will do their best to stay on good terms.

Kohaku is also very friendly and determined, believing the best in others without needing to be presented a reason to. Such as when they met the Wisteria Fairy in the past, they automatically said she couldn't be a bad person, just based on looks alone. They also tend to go out of their way to make friends with everyone. Kohaku also endlessly believes that, surely, they will be able to help Shuiichiro at some point. Devoting themselves to all of this entirely, they are said to be the purest angel in Heaven.

Because of their pureness, they try to be very accomodating and understanding of others' life circumstances. Things such as cats with a split personality, and a blind girl who can somehow "see" her while visiting the past, don't seem to phase Kohaku at all, and they reach out to these individuals to do what might make them happy, and try to resolve lost ends.

Because of this, Kohaku tends to create a heartwarming atmosphere around others. They hate to see people suffer or be sad, and is quick to apologise if they feel they are the one responsible (which, honestly, happens quite alot). They also will may go out of their way to try and find a resolution to whatever causes another distress, if they feel they are able to do something about it.

Kohaku is fairly clumsy, and often in their efforts to try so hard, they can mess up rather significantly. They incessantly believes that they are a burden to others, apologizing for it often, especially when it comes to disappointing Shuuichiro. They are quick to put themselves down when they fail and believe that they have very little worth as an individual. Being a disappointment wounds their self-esteem constantly, even if it's just themself being disappointed in themself, and no one else is faulting them.

Kohaku is also extremely fearful of punishment, believing it may come in any form from hatred to hitting them, and dreads failing others. There has been several instances where Shuuichiro raises his hand to pat or caress them, only for them to shrink in fear. Kohaku will apologise relentlessly at their mistakes, no matter how small. They still find themselves unworthy, even after told not to worry about it. It isn't until a kind gesture happens that Kohaku is able to push aside their grief and feel happy again.

Kohaku is also easily wounded by others' opinions. Such as when they overhear the birds call them clueless, they instantly tear up and look betrayed. Kohaku is also not immune to having a temper, as they can be easy to rile when it comes to Koryuu picking on them, and will stoop to bickering. However, Kohaku is able to stand up for themselves in certain circumstances, and it becomes more noticable after the 100 year sleep.

Being an angel does have it's downsides, as well. Besides being clumsy for an angel, angels are not allowed to consume anything that has effectively died, leaving them only to drink milk and honey if they decide to consume things other than sunlight through sunbathing. Although, this becomes somewhat remedied over time, as they are no longer an angel and ask for Hisui to teach them how to cook.

Kohaku is very quick to protect anyone who is in danger, and becomes very intense and serious, even if they risk losing. Defending others from demons, they will put themself in the line of fire to do so. Helping children to protecting those close to them, they do not hesitate to protect life.

Overall, Kohaku is a wonderfully pure, if not endlessly naïve, person who just wishes the best for everyone. They wish to help others in any way they can, and just wish to be with the person they love for all eternity. Seeing another's smile makes their day truly better, and they seek to be the very best person they possibly can be. They don't let other's obstructive views get in the way of the beauty they see in others, and will be the first to defend that inner beauty.

Any differences?:

Unlike Kohaku, who is the most pure and honest version of themselves at all time, Runar feels a need to try and get others to like him. Being made fun of for appearing more effeminate has had a hard set on him like this, and it was further expanded upon certain moments of others' joy. One such moment is when his father admired his more feminine outfits, saying it reminded him of this mother. So, in the constant dance of trying to please others and keep their attention, he does his best to appear cool, or be whatever others would like him to be if he can manage to get a read on it. However, being "cool" can be exhausting to him, and he doesn't tend to keep his facade up while working. He will also quickly drop the cool facade if he sees anyone distressed for any reason. So, while he has a caring side almost identical to Kohaku's, it's hidden beneath layers of masquerade acts.

He also idealises romantic movies, wanting to be a bridal planner, and will attempt to mimic some of their more flirtatious behaviour (although, none of those sultry R-rated ones, thank you very much). However, he doesn't plan very far beyond the first line or two, and it quickly confuses him no matter how the other person responds to it. If they flirt back, he's going to be bashful and stammer and not know what to do. But if they react negatively, he's going to start apologising and trying to fix it. However, unlike the former Kohaku, Runar is not quick to put himself down. While he's very sorry, he doesn't generally view himself as a screwup or unwanted, unless someone goes out of their way to make that distinctly clear to him. Which, while painful, he can probably recover from with the support of family and/or friends.

Runar understands that he is feminine in appearance, and does not mind being mistaken for a girl, for the most part. This is different from Kohaku who would often be quick to say that they are not a boy or a girl, and are just simply an angel. Runar typically will just roll with it. However, if someone finding out he's actually male upsets them, he tends to be very apologetic for it. He's not trying to upset anyone, and does not go out of his way to hide his gender. He just likes pretty things, and likes reminding his dad of his mom. Understandably adding to his feminine characteristics, he is virtually obsessed with the idea of love and weddings, and the beauty surrounding them. While Kohaku also loves beauty, they were virtually oblivious to the idea of love, and even after discovering it, only wanted to be near their person. They didn't go out of their way to express it to the known world, nor did they really gush over other people's romances. Kohaku was more lowkey, where Runar will be amazed and just throw ideas and pretty ribbons at it. He often daysdreams about making his own setups for other people's weddings.

Overall, Runar can be considered louder compared to Kohaku, and has more of a will and enjoyment when it comes to life. He has a dream and wants to share in others happiness, instead of just revolving his world around one solitary person and soul. And while Kohaku was straightforward about everything, Runar has an additional layer or two based in his perceptions of his current company.

Abilities:

SPELLS - A mark appears on their forehead when performing spells; can control the elements of nature, limited cures and protections, extremely limited time travel, being able to view the world through a lens from Heaven, alter their own appearance to mimic social norms.

SONG - their singing allows the eggs in Heaven to hatch angels; they are the only angel that can do this. Though it does not seem to devastate Heaven when they choose to stay on earth with Shuuichiro.

COMMUNICATION - Can communicate with vegetation and fauna, as long as it is alive; from animals to trees. Often checks in on the feelings of, and asks for information from, the surrounding life. Also can listen to audio off of disks without a player. They are also able to read "the soul or spirit imbued with a person's words". Basically, they can read the true name of a person.

FLIGHT - Part and parcel of being an angel. Their wings can be attacked and cause them to be flightless for a time (headcanon is about one day for apprentice angels.) However, they can hover without their wings being exposed.

BEACON - Angels can find each other through their wings, which will give off an ethereal light when they are near others. However, this light no longer exists when they are banned from Heaven.

- 1st person/network:

[For a brief moment, people can see a very frantic Runar getting pushed onto the screen. Runar glances at the person who shoved him out, who is now offscreen. He gives a very uncertain murmur:]

A-are you sure...?

[The person offscreen whispers at him that he's practically the face of the company.

Runar looks uncertain for another moment, then closes his eyes, takes a deep breath, and then smiles toward the camera. Though his eyes might betray his awkward uncomfortable-ness, the rest of him does not.

ANYTHING ELSE?

Has never been drinking, though he would not be opposed to it. Don't worry, he'll be a happy drunk. And by happy, I mean very loudly, "LOVE YOU LOVE EVERYBODY!" So that would be fun for some shenanigans later when he mass texts everyone on the network. I would also love for him to run his own bridal shop eventually. I don't know what we're expecting as far as bad guys/events, but maybe a plot-related loan shark type could offer to "help" him open his bridal shop and bully him over it or something? If that doesn't work, that's fine, too.
